NRR Safety Guidelines during Covid-19 pandemic - updated on 3 June 2020

  • All NRR youth on-water programs are suspended until further notice.
  • Member-owned singles only until 15 June. As of 15 June, registered members (rowers at least 18 years old) will be able to sign up for slots and row singles. There will be no use of multiseat boats until further notice. More details appeared in an eblast sent to all members before 15 June.
  • Social Distancing – Social distancing of 6’ or preferably greater between individuals must be maintained at the NRR site. If there are multiple people on site, do not enter until social distancing is practical. No group meetings, lessons or sessions will be scheduled or allowed.
  • Masks MUST be worn while at the site. There is no need to wear a mask while rowing.
  • All rowers will be responsible for washing and disinfecting the boats with CDC-approved cleaners. These are currently available in the shed.

This is an overview of the trial program, which began 15 June:

  • Limited number of I-boats and racers on site
  • Acknowledged procedures and signed waivers before participation
  • Reserved time slots, maximum of four rowers on site at any time
  • Signups posted weekly at SignUp Genius
  • Health status reminder as part of the reservation process
  • Masks required when other rowers present
  • Feedback process for rowers to help us make changes and serve as the basis for evolving our season

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS DURING THE CURRENT PANDEMIC

    To all NRR Rowers:

After careful thought and consideration, we, as a board, have made some decisions about our summer programs and want to share them with you.

As you know we already cancelled our Spring Youth Program, and we have no plans to offer a summer youth program at this time.

We are following the guidance from Federal, State and local agencies including the CDC and USRowing. In particular, social distancing is a priority for us.

This is a very fluid situation and as the guidance changes, we will continue to make decisions regarding the rest of our programs. We ask you to be patient and continue to look for our email and website updates.

The health and well being of our rowing family and our community have and will always be our top priority.

Anyone who has already registered for a program or membership and has further questions can contact Maria at nrroperations@gmail.com

    Take care and be safe.

Kay Vilardi and all the NRR Board members
