DONATIONS & SUPPORT

In 2008, as part of our 25th anniversary celebration, NRR embarked upon its first-ever capital campaign and  raised more than $12,000.  This was enough to purchase a new safety launch and motor (pictured here) and to give three full youth program "rowerships" through the Reach Out and Row (ROAR) program.

Taking a more low key approach in 2009 and 2010, we added a $25 donation option to our applications and used the money we raised to fund spots in our summer youth programs for 5 more deserving Red Bank teens.

If you want more information on the ROAR program for local under-served youth or if you would like to recommend a teen for the program, please contact clucey6@verizon.net.

In the wake of our initial successes (see Jamar’s story and ROAR in 2010), we plan to continue expanding our Reach Out and Row Program a few students at a time.  We will also renew our commitment to safety on the river with smaller but no less important purchases, starting with new personal flotation devices, walkie talkies and other water safety/rescue equipment.

We still hope to someday find a permanent riverside home, provide dockage for our rowers, and build an NRR boathouse. Your support keeps this dream alive and helps ensure that the joy of rowing will be available to all for years to come.

Please consider making a tax deductible contribution using the $25 donation option on the NRR membership and program applications or by mailing a check (for any amount) to Navesink River Rowing, P.O. Box 6153, Fair Haven, NJ 07704
