NRR PINKBANK REGATTA - EVERYBODY WINS!

On Sunday, May 2nd, Navesink River Rowing teamed with the Riverview Medical Center Foundation to support “Paint the Town Pink,” a  community-wide initiative to raise awareness  and  funds for breast cancer education and treatment.

With event coordinator Trish Crosby at the helm, NRR enthusiastically embraced the color of the day.  There were pink bows, a pink sign and pink trim added to the oar shed, pink T-shirts on everyone, even a newly "pinked" quad.

 

	The PinkBank Regatta began at 7 am with Masters Women's quad races.  Events for NRR youth quads, youth and masters doubles and singles followed
After everyone had raced, medals were presented.
The youth crew that won our fundraising challenge - Stephanie Gorstein, Lauren Leonhardt, Jane Bamberger and Jamie Gordon.	Kay Vilardi was the top fundraiser among NRR masters' rowers. All tolled our rowers raised $5000 for the Riverview Medical Center Foundations Pink Bank Fund.
